Old Rag Mountain in Shenandoah National Park 💚 Th Old Rag Mountain in Shenandoah National Park 💚

There’s something about this hike that keeps pulling me back—every single time. The steady climb builds you up slowly, and then the rock scramble kicks in and everything feels a little more alive. It’s equal parts challenge and reward, and I always leave feeling like I’ve truly earned the summit.

At the top, it shifts completely. The adrenaline settles, the breeze hits your face, birds echo through the trees, and there’s this quiet sense of calm that makes you pause for a minute longer than you planned.

Old Rag will always be one of my favorites—challenging, grounding, and unforgettable. If it’s on your bucket list, it’s worth making the time for.

🔔 Quick reminder: Old Rag requires a day-use permit, which you can book in advance on @recreation_gov.

🏡 Did you know you can tour the Virginia home of t 🏡 Did you know you can tour the Virginia home of the man behind the Marshall Plan? #sponsored by @gcmarshall_org

George C. Marshall’s Dodona Manor is a National Historic Landmark in Leesburg, Virginia, where the Nobel Peace Prize winner and World War II leader lived from 1941–1959. More than 90% of the furnishings and artifacts inside the home belonged to the Marshalls, making it one of the most authentic historic house museums in Virginia.

🥬 Beyond the house itself, you’ll find 3.8 acres of gardens that continue Marshall’s legacy of service—fresh produce grown on-site is donated to @LoudounHunger.

🎫 Want to explore even more history? The Loudoun Heritage Pass includes discounted admission to George C. Marshall’s Dodona Manor, Morven Park, Oatlands, the National Sporting Library & Museum, and the Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum, making it an easy way to experience some of the top historic sites in Loudoun County. 💬 Comment “HERITAGE” and I’ll send you more information about the Pass.

🕘 Dodona Manor tours offered Friday–Sunday (reservations recommended)

Get this tour guide an acting award 🎭 Would you st Get this tour guide an acting award 🎭 Would you stay in a haunted hotel room? 👻

During my stay at the @readhousehotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I took the complimentary ghost tour offered exclusively to hotel guests (don’t forget to tip your guide!). The bellman-turned-storyteller absolutely stole the show, bringing the chilling legend of the hotel’s infamous Room 311 to life.

Here’s the cliff notes version of the ghost story: According to local legend, a woman named Annalisa Netherly checked into Room 311 in the 1920s with a male companion. She was later found murdered in the room, and her killer was never identified. Over the years, guests and staff have reported eerie experiences including flickering lights, unexplained noises, sightings of a woman believed to be Annalisa, and other paranormal activity linked to the room.

Feeling brave? The Read House occasionally offers a lottery system for guests hoping to spend the night in the notorious Room 311 on select dates, including Halloween and Friday the 13th.

This was genuinely one of the best tours I’ve ever experienced. The storytelling alone made it unforgettable.

Would you spend the night in Room 311? 👀

🧳 Travel isn’t just about the food or the Instagra 🧳 Travel isn’t just about the food or the Instagram-worthy moments. It’s also about learning the history, people, and culture that make a place what it is.

🚌 On a recent trip with @visitclevelandtn, I visited several important Trail of Tears sites and gained a deeper understanding of this chapter in Cherokee history. It was a meaningful reminder of the importance of preserving and sharing these stories.

I was especially inspired by the Remember the Removal Bike Ride, an annual 950-mile journey that retraces the Northern Route of the Trail of Tears. The ride honors the ancestors who were forcibly removed in the 1830s while fostering leadership, resilience, and cultural education among Cherokee youth and mentors.

🌸 Got a photo with Stumpy ✔️ Wore a fascinator for 🌸 Got a photo with Stumpy ✔️ Wore a fascinator for the first time ✔️ Officially get the hype around polo ✔️

I had so much fun at my first @thedistrictcup at West Potomac Park. Between the action on the field and taking part in the divot stomp tradition, it was such a unique experience.

Thanks to @palmbeachesfl for hosting me at their table! If polo is on your bucket list, The Palm Beaches are the place to be. From January through April, the Palm Beach International Polo Season brings together some of the world’s top players and fans.

Have you ever been to a polo match? 🐴
