⭐️ Legend says this wishing bell on the island in Lake Bled, Slovenia has the power to grant one wish. The story goes that after a tragic loss, a widow commissioned a bell for the island church, but it sank in the lake before it ever arrived. Years later, a new bell was gifted to the church, and people began believing that if you ring it three times and make one wish, it just might come true. 🔔

I definitely made a wish. 🤍

Now I’m curious… would you make the trip to the island just for the chance that the legend is real?

The Mala Osojnica Viewpoint overlooking Lake Bled, Slovenia was 100% worth the steep hike. The panoramic views of the emerald lake, Bled Island, and the Julian Alps are even more breathtaking in person.

If you’re visiting Lake Bled, this viewpoint is surprisingly easy to access. Just walk the lakeside path until you reach the trailhead, then prepare for a short but steep climb. I’ve also heard sunrise here is absolutely magical… 🌅

🪷 One of DC’s most magical summer blooms only lasts a few weeks—and it’s almost here.

Every July, thousands of lotus flowers and water lilies bloom at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, transforming the park into one of Washington, DC’s most beautiful summer spots. The Lotus & Water Lily Festival takes place July 18–19, 2026, during peak bloom season.

☀️ Hosted by the @nationalparkservice, the festival features cultural performances, art, food trucks, ranger-led programs, family activities, and more.

Planning to visit?
✔️ Take Metro to Deanwood (about a 15–20 minute walk)
✔️ Arrive early if driving—parking fills up quickly
✔️ Dogs on leash are welcome
✔️ Bring a blanket and enjoy the scenery
