I stopped by to check out the latest exhibits and revisit a few longtime favorites. Bonus: the new IMAX Theater and redesigned Jefferson Drive entrance are now open too!

I finally learned how to make macarons! 🤍 I have a nut allergy (yep, I carry an EpiPen everywhere), but a few years ago I found out I can eat almonds—and that’s when I tried macarons for the first time. I immediately loved them and knew I wanted to learn how to bake them myself.

So I made it this year’s fun New Year’s resolution. In my mid-twenties, I decided I wanted my resolutions to be more fun, attainable, and less serious. So when I saw @cocusocial was hosting a macaron class at @lacosechadc, I signed up fast!

(Also yes, I’m trying to pronounce it the fancy French way—mac-a-ron—but it doesn’t always come out right 😂)

This wasn’t hosted—I paid for the class myself and had the best time learning something new. Highly recommend checking out local cooking classes if you’re looking to pick up a new skill!
